Dear Parents & Guardians,
In June we will be working on the character lesson: SELF-DISCIPLINE.
Parents and teachers both overwhelmingly agree that self-discipline is one of the most important skills anyone can have. It goes without saying that children can and will learn self-discipline if they are exposed to an environment that nurtures this very skill.
This month students will learn why self-discipline is good for their everyday life. They’ll also learn how to develop self-discipline skills in a fun and entertaining way.
Below are some tips on how to compliment the lessons we teach about self-discipline this month:
-
Catch your child showing self-discipline at home and praise them for their efforts.
-
Give your child opportunities to apply self-discipline by giving them some new age-appropriate responsibilities.
The homework for our junior students this month will be to demonstrate self-discipline at home by making their beds and keeping their rooms tidy.
Thank you for allowing us to be a positive influence on your children and we look forward to watching our students demonstrate their Self-Discipline skills in class.
Sincerely
Digger Barnes
