Congratulations to STORM FAMILY MARTIAL ARTS for winning Martial Arts Academy Of The Year.
It was a busy 2020 for Storm Family Martial Arts. We started the year with our Chief Instructor competing at the British Open and coming away with not just a Silver Medal but also being selected for the England Team to compete at the 2021 World Championships.
Not long after this…. the pandemic hit and we swiftly and efficiently moved our training on-line.
With the help and support of many of our Instructors, Coaches, Students and Parents we worked really hard throughout 2020 to:
– Improve our Developing Champions For Life programme
– Launch our Storm University diploma
– Publish a bespoke syllabus for each individual programme
– Provide free workshops to schools
– Provide free PE lessons via Zoom to schools during lockdown
– Continue our Instructor Training programme on Zoom
– Host Life Coaching workshops
– Recognise dedication with Student Of The Year awards
– … Plus many, many more activities
As a result of all this, in January we were invited to submit an entry for ‘Martial Arts School Of The Year’. Today I received a call from the head of the judging panel to advise that we will be invited to London in May to attend the awards ceremony where we will be crowned ‘Martial Arts Academy Of The Year’ in our region (London & South East of England).
So thank you to everyone with the academy who has stayed focused on their training throughout the last year. We have all won this together !
