This month we will focus on the character lesson: RESPECT
One of the most important life skills we can teach our children is RESPECT and how to treat others how we would like to be treated.
Below are some tips on how to compliment the lessons we will teach about RESPECT this month:
Remind your children how important it is to show good manners such as saying “please” and “thank you”
Talk to your children about how to have good sportsmanship
Explain the importance of having SELF-RESPECT as well as showing RESPECT to others
With the Tigers, they are at an age where identity and popularity become important. Teach them about having RESPECT for their friends by not gossiping or bullying.
Children can learn respect simply by following our good example as parents.
If we can nurture a respectful environment in our homes, then our children will naturally become more respectful and it will carry over to other areas of their life.
Thank you for allowing us to be a positive influence on your children and we look forward to watching our youthful students demonstrate the utmost RESPECT for themselves and others.
