March Grading Information

GRADING INFORMATION – March 2020

The next Storm student gradings will take place in March.  Below you will find all the information you need.  If you have any further questions please speak to your instructor.

Students require a minimum of 3 months training and regular attendance to be eligible for grading.  Advanced students require 6 months between belts.

If you don’t receive a link (via Nest Management) to register for the grading before Thursday 27thFeb and believe you are entitled to grade then please contact your instructor.

The registration cut off is Sunday 8th March.

If you miss this date, you will NOT be able to grade.  Once the names are submitted to the British Martial Arts & Boxing Association I am not able to add any new names.

When are the Gradings ?

How often are the gradings ?

Every 3 to 4 months.

What will happen at my grading ?

Gradings are essentially a ‘Graduation’.  If you have been invited to grade it means you have met the required standard and performed at the required level in class on a regular basis.  On the night the class will be focused on a fitness assessment.  As long as you (or your child) push yourself hard on the night then you should be able to graduate to the next belt level.

Do I have to take a grading ?

No. Gradings are optional and for those who wish to achieve their next belt.   We understand some students choose to attend class on a simply recreational basis.

How much does the grading cost ?

Gradings cost £30 and this includes your new belt and a Certificate of Achievement from Storm & the British Martial Arts & Boxing Association.

You will be sent a link from Nest Management this week to pay for the grading.  The cut off date for payment is Sunday 8th March.

Please understand there is a huge amount of work going on behind the scenes for gradings so this date is final.  No exceptions.

What if I’m unable to attend the grading ?

Gradings require a huge amount of preparation, organisation and administration behind the scenes. If you are not able to attend this grading then you will be invited to attend the next grading in the summer.
