Ladies Only Kickboxing Classes in Maidenhead & Bracknell
Storm Family Martial Arts recently launched our ‘Ladies Only Kickboxing’ classes in Maidenhead and Bracknell and WOW !!! What a response. We’ve had over 60 ladies complete one of our 4 week courses and now our regular Tuesday night ‘Ladies Only Kickboxing Class’ in Bracknell is buzzing as is our regular Wednesday night ‘Ladies Only Kickboxing Class’ in Maidenhead.
Thank you to everyone who came to the courses. It was a great fun.
These classes are now so popular we expect we will soon have to start a waiting list for places. Here is a little info about what we cover in a typical class:
Fitness
- Fun games and drills to make fitness more enjoyable and to help you get to know everyone in the class
Kickboxing:
- Stance
- Footwork
- Punching
- Kicking
- Blocking
- Lots and lots of hitting pads
Self Defence
- Getting away from grabs to the arms and body
- Dealing with strangles and chokes
- Escaping from hair pulling
- Defence against punches and kicks
- Situational awareness
- Protecting yourself when on the ground (if an attacker has pinned you down)
All our Women’s Self Defence techniques come from the Fight SMART System. This is a simple to learn and highly effective martial art designed solely for self defence.
Many new starters were worried they were ‘not fit enough’ to join the class. We would like to point out… WE ARE NOT THE ARMY ! We understand some people are coming to our classes to build confidence, make new friends and take their first steps towards a healthier lifestyle… so EVERYONE IS WELCOME. If you are not fit then we are perfect for you… we will help you get fitter and reach your goals in a supportive and fun environment.
